KUALA LUMPUR: Naza Kia Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of Kia Motors vehicles in Malaysia, will launch the all-new Kia Sportage next Tuesday.
The new Sportage offers a more urban and fluid silhouette than its predecessor as well as increased levels of performance, efficiency, comfort, convenience and the latest in-vehicle technologies.
"The all-new Sportage is a clear departure from its predecessor and has garnered many international awards.
"We are confident the all-new Sportage will be accepted well by Malaysian consumers," Naza Kia chief executive officer SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin said in a statement.
With an indicative price of RM140,000, the new Sportage retains the functionality and versatility of the previous generation model, but is sleekier, more modern and bolder.
The new Sportage is equipped with Kia's new fuel-efficient Thetha II 2.0 petrol engine with dual continuous variable valve timing (CVVT) that produces 166ps and 197 Nm of torque.
Its premium features include a six-speed automatic transmission, LED daytime running lights at the headlamps, a large panoramic sunroof, a rear view camera display, dual zone auto air conditioner, Bluetooth, AUX, iPod and USB connectivity as well as a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.
