THE Straits Times Index slipped one per cent to 2,995.59 at the close.

These were among the most active shares in the market: Dyna-Mac Holdings shed 7.3 per cent to 51 Singapore cents, Neptune Orient Lines declined 4 per cent to S$1.425.

Meanwhile,Tiger Airways rose 1.9 per cent to 82 Singapore cents and Wilmar International slumped 11 per cent to S$5.22. Bloomberg
